Last fall I was painting at Lake Oconee and after capturing the scene, I was walking back to my car when I was struck by the beauty of the ripples of water. The wind across the water created such lovely patterns of color that were changing with the light and shadow, topped by the golden leaves that had fallen from the nearby maple.
